How to Make Custom Stickers

We put together some pointers for uploading and creating custom name stickers. It's actually pretty easy.

Custom stickers are shown with a "&#;" icon. Enter any text in the field marked "Create a custom caption!" to preview your caption.

Custom stickers let users create unique stickers by entering their own name or any other custom text in the blank caption. Users can change their custom caption as many times as they like after buying the sticker set.

Creating Custom Sticker Images

Prepare Your Base Files

What Are Base Files?

These are the PNG image files used as the base image for custom stickers.
Prepare an image file for each sticker in your set.

Tips
  • · Provide a space for your captions and design your images accordingly.
  • · Leave a margin of about 10 pixels around the image.

Configure Caption Style Settings

Style Settings

These are the character limits, placement, fonts, text sizes, outline, direction, and alignment settings for custom captions that users can enter in each sticker.

Sample Text

The sample text shown by asterisks (*) reflects your caption's style settings.
Captions are marked with asterisks (*) by default on LINE STORE and in the Sticker Shop.

Editing Your Caption Styles

  • Image preview

All images from the uploaded base files will be shown at the bottom.
Click a sticker image to show it in the upper preview window and edit its caption styles.

  • Undo and Redo buttons

    Undo: Undo the last edit.
Redo: Undo the last Undo action.

  • Preview button

Saves your current settings and lets you preview your caption in all images at once.

  • Sale region

Shows the countries/regions where your stickers will be available for sale.
If you can't find the right font, consider going back to the Product Details page and changing these settings.

  • Sample text and max characters

Start by choosing a maximum number of characters.
This is the character limit users must follow when editing the caption.
We recommend setting a limit between 4 and 6 characters.
Enter sample text to use to preview your caption settings on the preview screen.
Be sure to test the maximum number of characters allowed for your caption when previewing in both half-width and full-width characters.
Note: Characters in vertical direction captions will always be in full-width.
Your sample text will appear on the preview screen right away.

  • Font

Select the font for the caption's text.
The number of available fonts depends on your sale region settings.
If you can't find the right font, consider going back to the Product Details page and changing your sale region settings.

Adjust the size of caption text and its outline's thickness.
Drag the slider or enter values directly into the boxes on the right.

  • Direction and alignment

Set either horizontal or vertical text direction.
Note: Characters entered in a vertical direction caption will appear in their full-width character forms.
Align text to appear on the left, on the right, centered, or justified.
Note: Some languages don't support all text alignment settings.

  • "Apply Style to All Stickers" button

This applies the current placement and font settings to all other images in the sticker set.
Note: This will overwrite the placement and curvature settings for all stickers in the preview screen.

  • Reset button

This reverts the caption's placement, angle, and curvature to their default settings.
Click and drag the green line to move the entire caption.

  • Leveling your caption

The green guideline turns blue when your caption is level.
    - When moving the entire caption, your cursor will turn into a hand icon.
    - When moving an individual point, your cursor will turn into a four-way arrow icon.

  • Margin

Note the margin of 25 pixels from the left and right and 15 pixels from the top and bottom of the image shown in gray in the sample pictures.
Placing the start, center, or end points of your caption in this area will likely cause the edges of the caption to be cropped. Stickers with the caption in these areas may be rejected during the review process.

Importing and Exporting Style Files

A style file contains all your captions' placement, font, and other settings from the editor.
By importing a style file, you can use the exact same caption settings from another sticker set.
Note: Please do not change the style file's filename.

  • Importing
