Slurry Pump Spares

Slurry Pumps Spares are essential parts for slurry pump operation, including the volute liner, throat bush, frame plate liner insert and the impeller. The slurry pump impeller is one of the most important parts of the slurry pumps. It is located in the pump casings on the shaft and connects with the motor to form a centrifugal force system. When the motor drives the impeller to rotate, the blades force fluid to rotate, increasing its pressure, potential energy, and kinetic energy. At the same time, under the force of inertia, fluid flows from the center to the edge of the impeller, out at a very high speed, and passes through the discharge pipeline to be transported. When an impeller is rotating, and in good condition, the slurry pump can easily meet output expectations. however, highly prone to wear and require regular maintenance to ensure efficiency.

Construction from high-quality wear materials plays an important role in prolonging the service life of an impeller, and certain materials work best for an application. Tobee manufactures high chrome (A05, 27%+Mo) for abrasive slurry or slurry with sharp particles. For corrosive slurries with blunt particles, we recommend to use natural rubber spares or synthetic rubber spares. We also offer other materials, including A07, A09, A49, A33, A51, A61, PU (polyurethane), and ceramic spares for different applications, and our cemented carbide and molded elastomer impellers are completely interchangeable.

Slurry Pump Spares, especially the slurry pump impeller, are vulnerable, require regular attention, and will likely require frequent replacements in large volume operation. Because abrasive particles in the slurry can produce high-speed scour on the wet parts of a slurry pump, they are more prone to wear, resulting in an increased risk of damage due to friction and corrosion. If the correct materials are not selected for a production process, this can take place in mere days. For example, a volute liner can be scrapped in approximately ten days if an incorrect material is selected.

What is the structure of a slurry pump?

Tobee Pump stocks a range of slurry pump spares from 1.5/1 to 20/18 pumps which have been developed for abrasive applications in mines, quarries, sand and gravel etc, and are used widely across the globe in mineral processing and all other solid mixture applications.

Heavy Duty Slurry Pump Parts

Impeller is the most important wet-end spare part of a slurry pump. Centrifugal pumps need impellers to produce the centrifugal force which transfers the slurries. The centrifugal force is produced by the impeller which rotates to a certain speed. The max. tip speed of an impeller should be limited within 55m/s.

At CNSME, various impellers are available to choose for the same model of slurry pumps, for example, for pump 8/6E-AH, we have the standard 5-vane closed impeller, as well as the 6-vane clsed impeller, and both 4-vane closed and open impellers are optional.

Different impellers selected will affect the pumps' performance slightly. At CNSME, our pump specialist will choose the right impeller for the customers based on their specific requirements from applications to applications.
