Besides the access from the side what are the other advantages to a 1 arm machine? Is it any more tippy with lifting on the one side?
I haven't noticed it tipping to the side arm is one and I've picked up 8 foot tires with it that weigh 2500 to 3000 lbs. It is pretty wide, around 6' or 6'6", and sits low to the ground. The cab and the arm are centered on the tracks, so if you look at just the cab it looks off center. There is also more visibility in the volvo versus the terex. The one thing that could be a disadvantage is the track tension system. The track are kept tight by greasing them, and sometimes I'm not the most diligent about that. It's really not that hard to get the track back on, but it can be a little messy.
